Calgary Winter Brunch Elopement at Deane House Restaurant

Why aren’t brunch weddings more of a thing? Amanda and Jeff’s brunch elopement at Deane House in Calgary totally sold me on the idea. You can celebrate with mimosas and waffles and still be home in time to Netflix and chill. It was snowy and cold outside for this winter wedding but Deane House gives such a cozy vibe for those wintery days in Calgary.

Amanda and Jeff might look familiar. I actually shot their engagement session a few months ago. Jeff was transferred to the US for work and they needed to elope in order for Amanda to join him before the big wedding that they had already planned. I was so excited when they asked me to shoot it for them, a second wedding was a total bonus and a great opportunity for us to be super comfortable before their (other) big day.

They exchanged their sweet vows in the library room at Deane House which has a really cool antique vibe. After the ceremony we snapped a few quick photos around the house and they enjoyed brunch and sour cherry mimosas with their parents and a couple of friends. I’m actually still dreaming of how good those mimosas were!
