Outdoor fall wedding at Cornerstone in Canmore Alberta

About the day

I’ve been a Canmore wedding photographer for almost a decade and I’m not going to lie, fall weddings are my absolute jam. Especially on a sunny day in Canmore. For this fall wedding at Canmore Ranch, the tourists cleared out, the colours were amazing and everyone was cool and comfortable. Kayla and Ben’s mountian wedding day was was one for the books. Their ceremony was at the gorgeous Cornerstone Ranch with views of the Three Sisters mountains in the background and honestly, I’ve never seen so many stylish guests in one place. Ben’s aunt officiated the ceremony and they chose to have a candle ceremony which was really unique and special. I love when couples do something personal to them. We took a little stroll to get up close and personal with those epic mountains and then made it back in time for them join their guests for signature cocktails, enjoyed an amazing dinner and speeches and then wrapped it up with an epic dance party.

About the couple

I knew as soon as I met these lovebirds I knew that their day was going to be amazing. I can usually tell right away if we’re going to vibe or not and I knew on our consultation call that Kayla and Ben were special. We had such a fun engagement session in Calgary beforehand, which I find really helps everyone to feel comfortable in front of the camera by the time their wedding day rolls around. They were so chill and present on their wedding day which let me capture all of the candid moments. They are both so funny and easygoing that I knew it was going to be a dream to document authentic moments between the two of them.

About the Venue

I’ve been so lucky to capture many weddings at Cornerstone Ranch and Cornerstone Theatre in Canmore and I always have a great experience. Their team are experts in Canmore weddings and run the venue like a well oiled machine. The service is consistent, the setup always looks amazing and they know exactly how to keep things flowing so that couples and their guests have an amazing time. Also, I dream about the mushroom ravioli often.
